EA will be releasing ‘Back to Karkand’ expansion for Battlefield 3 in December for $15 or free for those who pre-ordered the limited copy of Battlefield 3.
The new DLC features four Legendary Battlefield 2 Maps, this time you get to see them in Frostbite 2 engine. Apart from these you get 3 new vehicles, 10 new weapons, enhanced destruction, extended hit points on targets, a complete classic assault.

Battlefield 3 Back to Karkand maps would be in rotation as the basic maps. As confirmed by Joystiq.
